How to register

Creating an account takes a minute. Use a real email you check often - verification and important updates go there.

• Open the Register page and enter your email, mobile number, and a password (at least 8 characters).
• Submit, then check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code (check spam if it is not in your inbox).
• Enter the code on the verify-email screen to confirm your account.
• Tip: add ishkzen.app@gmail.com to your contacts so our emails always reach your inbox.

How to onboard yourself properly

After verifying your email, you complete a short onboarding wizard. Doing each step properly helps you get approved faster and matched better. The steps are: Profile, Photos, Selfie, and Verify ID.

• Profile: add your name, age, city, education, and a genuine bio (a few real sentences beats one line).
• Photos: add at least one clear photo (up to three). You can blur photos to build trust before matching.
• Selfie: take a quick verification selfie with your camera, or upload one. This confirms it is really you.
• Verify ID: upload one government or student ID (Aadhaar, PAN, or Student ID card).
• Resume is optional - you can add it later from the Complete your profile section.

How to upload documents properly

Clear, readable documents get verified faster. Uploads are encrypted, stored privately, and only visible to admins for verification - never shared with other users.

• Use good lighting and a flat surface so all four corners and text are readable.
• Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, or PDF for ID documents; PDF for resume; JPG or PNG for photos and selfie.
• Make sure the name on your ID is legible - blurry or cropped images slow down review.
• Files are auto-compressed on upload, so you do not need to resize them yourself.
• Upload only your own valid documents; mismatched or edited documents will be rejected.

How to get verified early

Verification is a manual review by our team. You can speed it up by giving us everything we need the first time.

• Complete all four onboarding steps - profile, photos, selfie, and a valid ID.
• Make sure your selfie clearly matches the photo on your ID.
• Use a genuine, complete profile - empty bios and unclear photos are common reasons for delays.
• Once submitted, you move to the waitlist; we review and notify you in-app when you are approved.

How to set up the app from Settings (install the web app)

Ishkzen works in your browser and can be installed like an app for a full-screen, faster experience.

• On Android (Chrome): open the browser menu and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
• On iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.
• On desktop (Chrome/Edge): click the install icon in the address bar, or use the browser menu and choose Install Ishkzen.
• Open Ishkzen from your home screen or app drawer just like any other app.

How to enable notifications in Settings

Turn on notifications so you never miss a new match, message, or approval update.

• Go to Settings inside Ishkzen and enable notifications.
• When your browser asks for permission, choose Allow.
• If you previously blocked notifications, open your browser site settings for Ishkzen and switch notifications to Allow, then try again.
• On mobile, installing the web app (above) gives the most reliable push notifications.

• I did not get my verification email - check spam, wait a minute, and use Resend; add our address to contacts.
• Can I change my photos or details later? Yes, edit them anytime from your profile.
• Is my ID safe? Yes - documents are encrypted and only used by admins for verification.

• Notifications are not working - allow permissions in browser and site settings, and install the web app for best results.
