Careers at Ishkzen

Campus ambassadors and remote internships for students who want real product experience — with guidance, ownership, and room to grow.

Remote roles for students & builders

Ishkzen is a small team building a conversation-first dating app for students. Join us as a campus ambassador or intern — unpaid, remote, and focused on real product work with mentorship from the founding team.

What you get

Certificate of completion

Receive a certificate when you finish your internship or ambassador term.

Unpaid, learning-first

These are mentorship-led roles focused on real skills — not a paycheck, but serious growth.

Fully remote

Work from anywhere in India. Async-friendly check-ins that fit around classes.

Guidance & mentorship

Direct feedback from the founding team on your work, communication, and craft.

Real product work

Ship features on Ishkzen — a live dating app used by students, not a toy demo.

Growth mindset & ownership

We expect you to take initiative, ask questions, and own outcomes end to end.

Letter of recommendation

Strong performers receive a personalised recommendation for jobs or higher studies.

Campus Ambassador Program

Represent Ishkzen on your campus. Help students discover intentional dating, host small events, and grow our community where you study.

  • Introduce Ishkzen to classmates, clubs, and campus groups
  • Share authentic stories and feedback from your campus
  • Organise small meet-ups, tabling, or online campus campaigns
  • Refer interested students and help them get started on the app

Internship openings

All internships are remote, unpaid, and mentorship-led. Pick a role that matches your skills and curiosity.

Help more students discover Ishkzen through experiments, campus outreach, and creative campaigns.

  • Run small growth experiments (referrals, campus pilots, content tests)
  • Track what works and share weekly learnings with the team
  • Collaborate with ambassadors and social media on campaigns
  • Improve onboarding and activation based on user feedback

Operations Management Intern

Keep Ishkzen running smoothly — processes, user support workflows, and day-to-day coordination.

  • Help document and improve internal ops playbooks
  • Support user onboarding, verification, and support triage
  • Coordinate tasks across product, content, and community
  • Spot bottlenecks and propose practical fixes

Social Media Manager Intern

Tell Ishkzen's story on Instagram, X, and LinkedIn with content that feels human, not corporate.

  • Plan and draft posts aligned with Ishkzen's voice
  • Engage with comments and DMs thoughtfully
  • Repurpose blog and campus stories into social content
  • Track basic metrics and iterate on what resonates

Frontend Intern

Build polished, mobile-first UI in Next.js and React on features students use every day.

  • Implement UI from designs and product specs
  • Work in TypeScript, Tailwind, and existing component patterns
  • Fix bugs and improve accessibility on public and app pages
  • Participate in code review and learn production frontend practices

Backend Intern

Work on Go APIs, MySQL, and real-time chat — the systems behind matching and messaging.

  • Build and maintain REST endpoints with Gin and GORM
  • Write safe SQL migrations and understand data models
  • Debug production issues with logging and tests
  • Learn how auth, uploads, and WebSockets work at scale

DevOps Intern

Help deploy, monitor, and secure Ishkzen on OCI, Netlify, and Docker — keeping the app reliable.

  • Assist with CI/CD, Nginx, and deployment scripts
  • Monitor logs, uptime, and basic security hygiene
  • Document infra setup for local and production environments
  • Automate repetitive ops tasks where it saves the team time

What to expect

  • These are learning roles — unpaid, with certificate and recommendation for strong performers.
  • We work async and remote; you should be comfortable owning tasks with weekly check-ins.
  • Applications are reviewed within 1–2 weeks. We reply by email if there is a fit.
  • No Ishkzen account required to apply. Be honest about your availability and campus.
